1. About this notice
Ale connects riders and drivers. This draft describes information involved in the account, ride-booking, driving and optional voice-request features described by Ale’s owner. The legal entity operating Ale and its privacy contact have not yet been provided.
2. Information involved in using Ale
- Account information: your name, email address and phone number when provided.
- Driver information: vehicle details, license plate and driver-license details entered during registration.
- Location and trips: pickup and destination addresses, location shared by your device, selected ride type, scheduled time, trip status, distance and fare records.
- Trip feedback: rider and driver ratings, recorded tips and cancellation-fee information.
- Other passengers: the name and phone number you enter when requesting a ride for someone else.
- Optional voice requests: a microphone recording and the words and destination interpreted from it when you choose voice search.
3. How these features use information
Account details identify your account. Pickup, destination and location information support place search, ride quotes, nearby-driver display and trip tracking. Driver and vehicle information identifies the assigned car. Trip records support history, earnings totals, ratings, recorded tips and cancellation fees.
Voice search interprets a spoken destination and ride preference. A ride is not booked from voice alone: the rider must confirm the request.
4. Information shown during a ride
Riders can see available cars on the map and information about their assigned driver and vehicle. Drivers receive pickup and destination information and, when supplied for a different passenger, that passenger’s name and phone number. Trip status and location updates help the rider and driver follow the ride.
Google Maps supports Ale’s maps and place search. Before this notice is finalized, Ale’s owner must confirm the complete list of service providers, what each receives and the applicable privacy notices, including providers used for voice processing and account hosting.
5. Your privacy choices
- You can decline or revoke microphone access in your browser or device settings and use typed destination search instead.
- You can manage location permission in your browser or device settings. Disabling location can limit nearby-car display and driver tracking.
- Drivers can go offline to stop receiving new ride requests.
- You can update your name and phone number through your account profile.
- Only provide another passenger’s contact details with their permission.
6. Retention and privacy requests
Ale’s owner has not yet confirmed retention periods, voice-recording handling or the process for requesting access, correction or deletion of personal information. A working privacy contact and request process must be added before this draft is used as a final policy.
7. Contact and future updates
The operator’s legal name and privacy contact are pending owner confirmation. This draft may be revised after those details and the data-handling practices are confirmed. The date at the top identifies this draft, not an effective date for a finalized policy.
